Day 4: Tuesday, February 15, 2011 - Naomi

It is interesting how in each and every one of the historical events we’ve looked at this week there is a person representing Jesus or in Job’s case God Himself. Boaz was a kinsman redeemer, someone who could make things right for both Naomi and Ruth, and he did so according to the Law.

I think it’s very interesting that Jesus was “born under the Law to redeem us from the Law”.

This brings us back to our enabler, the giver of good gifts, God.

God gave us the faith to believe in Him, something we could never had done for ourselves.

God gave us His son on Calvary because we could never, ever be good enough to save ourselves.

And God gave us the promised Holy Spirit to indwell in us, fill us, and seal us for eternity.
