Day 3: Monday, July 11, 2011 - Remember Your Creator

Reminded of Creation, or is the truth of Origins in our Brand New Heart?

“In the Beginning God created the Heavens and the Earth”- thus in one sentence the Bible states that God did it and He did it out of nothing. At the end of the Creation week there was not a celebration unlike what your quarterly might say, there was in fact a rest and relaxation in fact the term rest is not only about resting and not celebration but about ceasing. Ceasing to strive because it is a finished work.

Adventism seeks to make a case to plant the Sabbath in creation as a reminder that God is the creator, I argue as does the Holy Spirit through Paul that such shenanigans are wholly pointless.

For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse. Romans 1:20

People don't have to look back to the moment of Creation or the Garden of Eden, they need to look out the window. They need to spend a day looking at tide pools on the beach, visiting the Grand Canyon, or looking out into the vastness of space where everything is in perfect order in order for life to even exist.

As Children of God, once we are Born again there's no danger of being fooled by evolution, it becomes ridiculous. Really we came about over billion of years from a nutrient pool of slime and ingredients bombarded by lightning, an an atmosphere that was entirely toxic to life.

Can evolution transform them enough so that they're Born Again and become a New Creation, such reasoning is absurd.

God is the only one who can create from nothing, he's the only one who can bring our dead Spirit's to life, He turned me a dead and dying person in a spiritual sense into a vibrant an new spiritual being. A New Creation, as I said earlier, walking around in a old, decaying and dying one.

God puts His Spirit within us so that He can lead us into all truth, but only if we let Him, all we have to do is get out of the way and stop selfishly claiming ourselves for ourselves.

Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body. 1Corinthians 6:19-20 (I suggest you read the whole chapter to feel the full power of the context).

The moment that we are made a New Creation, our Will becomes God's Will, everything that was ours belongs to God- God the Holy Spirit takes up residence in our body as His Temple.

If you are so concerned that you are even seriously considering this argument as placed forth in the quarterly then I have to question whether you've entered that Rest. This sort of argument is not one that would come from someone who was a New Creation, it wouldn't even be a blip on their radar, because the Holy Spirit makes clear the undiluted facts about all that is taught in the word.

Everything points to God, even Jesus God in Man stated the following:

As he was drawing near-already on the way down the Mount of Olives he whole multitude of his disciples began to rejoice and praise God with a loud voice for all the mighty works that they had seen, saying, “Blessed is the King who comes in the name of the Lord! Peace in heaven and glory in the highest!” And some of the Pharisees in the crowd said to him, “Teacher, rebuke your disciples.” He answered, “I tell you, if these were silent, the very stones would cry out.” Luke 19:37-40

If your God created a Universe such as this, and He created it so that even the rocks could cry out in celebration, and the trees of the filed would clap their hands. Should we not also worship the Creator of all things Including the Sabbath which was a shadow of Jesus Christ the Messiah our true Sabbath Rest?

Yes we should, I suspect that the New Heavens and New earth are going to be full of celebration from the tiniest stone, to the saved before the Throne. All of creation in worshipful celebration of everything God ever did for us- 24/7/365 for eternity and forever!
