OVERVIEW
Today's lesson states:
“God has pronounced a curse upon those who depart commandments, and put no difference between common things.”—Ellen G. White, Patriarchs and Prophets, p. 360
“[Saul’s] fatal presumption must be attributed to satanic Saul had manifested great zeal in suppressing idolatry yet in his disobedience to the divine command he had by the same spirit of opposition to God and had been as by Satan as are those who practice sorcery; and when had added stubbornness to rebellion. He could have offered insult to the Spirit of God had he openly united with —Ellen G. White, Patriarchs and Prophets, p. 635."
OBSERVATIONS
How can we apply that logic to mandatory sabbath keeping, when it is upheld as the ultimate act of salvational maintenance?
SUMMARY
- When God Himself has told us we are no longer to make an issue of holy days and we continue to use the seventh-day to define who will receive the Mark of the Beast, simply based on WHEN they worship, rather than WHO they worship, how is that any less an act of disobedience?
